Furnaces
A muffle furnace is a laboratory instrument used to heat materials to extremely high temperatures while isolating them from fuel and the byproducts of combustion from the heat source. The subject material is isolated from the fuel and all of the products of combustion, including gases and flying ash. This isolation is achieved by placing the material in a chamber made of a refractory material such as ceramic or metal, which is then heated by an external heating element. Muffle furnaces are used in a variety of applications such as sample ashing, materials research, and heat treatments.
Nabertherm offers muffle furnaces up to 1400°C with excellent workmanship, advanced and attractive design, and high level of reliability. They also offer economy muffle furnaces up to 1100°C or 1200°C, muffle furnaces with brick insulation up to 1300°C, muffle furnaces with embedded heating elements in the ceramic muffle up to 1100°C, and ashing furnaces up to 1100°C with integrated exhaust gas cleaning.
